About Third World

Third World, formed in 1973 in Kingston, Jamaica, are pioneers of reggae fusion blending reggae with soul, funk, pop, rock, dancehall, and rap. They’re best known for hits like “Now That We Found Love,” “96 Degrees in the Shade,” and “Try Jah Love.” Their most recent studio album is More Work to Be Done (2019), and in January 2025 they released the single “Fields of Gold.” They have nine Grammy nominations and major collaborations with artists like Chronixx, Busy Signal, Tessanne Chin, Tarrus Riley and Damian Marley. Their enduring achievement: fifty years as reggae ambassadors.
